Last weekend I was invited to showcase some Idyllic Days products at Chandos House. The venue is one of London's hidden gems; in a fabulous location the Georgian town house is stunningly beautiful inside - all sugary pastels with high ceilings and a variety of spaces available, including a charming outdoor terrace; very unusual for a central London venue.
I provided cups and saucers and teaplates for their afternoon tea, and set up a candy station in the corner of one room. Taking inspiration from the colour scheme of the venue I displayed a variety of sweeties such as strawberry bonbons, coconut ice and sugared almonds on an eclectic range of crystal and glassware. Yummy! Now, what to do with all those sweeties....?!
Also at the event was the lovely Hayley from Comfort and Joy, whose gorgeous cupcakes tasted just as scrummy as they looked, and Marianne from Sweet Pea Flowers who created some stunning displays that were much admired. It was a lovely way to spend a Saturday afternoon!
